We work carefully with our bees to produce small-batch, ethical honey from our hives in the Hampshire countryside.
Small Batch
Our honey is extracted in small batches with the minimum of processing. No heating beyond hive temperature, no fine filtering. Just honey. Exactly as the bees intended.
Raw and Pure
Our honey is never heated above hive temperature, and is traceable to each harvest, resulting in the finest honey.
Rooted in the land
Believed to have been taken by my grandfather in the 1940s or 1950s, this family photograph shows the same field in South Warnborough where our bees live today. The land has been part of our family’s story for more than 80 years, and now forms part of the story behind every jar we produce.
Behind every jar
Working on a small scale means I can know every colony and follow every harvest from hive to jar. I tend the bees personally, make decisions around their individual needs and harvest only when they have produced a genuine surplus. It is a careful and considered way of working, and central to the character of The Hampshire Honey Co.
